The relationship between fire extinguishers and seals
With people's increasing awareness of fire prevention, fire extinguishers have become an important part of the fire extinguishing equipment that units and households often have. In times of crisis, small fire extinguishers can often turn into danger. Today, let's take a look at the matter between fire extinguishers and seals!
The fire extinguisher has a bolt similar to a key ring, a round pull ring hole, which is easy to pull in and pull out with a finger when pulling; a seal or plastic seal on the other end, which is customarily called lead seal. The purpose of the lead seal is to prove that your fire extinguisher is original and unused to achieve the purpose of anti-counterfeiting. If the lead seal is opened or damaged, the manufacturer should be refilled for the normal use of the fire extinguisher.
How to check the fire extinguisher?
Normally, the fire extinguisher should be checked and in good condition.
1. Visual inspection
(1) Check whether the lead seal of the fire extinguisher is intact. Once the fire extinguisher is turned on, it should be refilled in accordance with the regulations even if it does not emit much. After filling, a seal test shall be performed and the lead seal shall be locked.
(2) Check whether the pointer of the pressure gauge is in the green area, if the pointer is in the red area, the cause should be found out and refilled after maintenance;
3 (3) Check the quality of the anti-corrosion layer in the visible part, and repair it in time if it is slightly peeled off, and send it to the fire-fighting maintenance department for a pressure test, and perform the anti-corrosion treatment if it is qualified;
(4) Check whether the visible parts of the fire extinguisher are complete; whether there is deformation, looseness, rust (such as pressure bar) and damage, and whether the assembly is reasonable;
5 (5) Check if the walking mechanism of the trolley fire extinguisher is flexible and add lubricating oil to the rotating part in time;
(6) Check whether the nozzle is unobstructed, and clean up if there is a blockage.
2. Periodic inspection
1 (1) The weight and pressure of the fire extinguisher should be checked semi-annually and filled in time;
(2) For dry powder fire extinguishers, check the powder pipes, air intake pipes, nozzles, nozzles and spray guns for dry powder clogging, moisture-proof plugging of the powder pipes, and whether the membrane is broken. Whether the dry powder in the cylinder is agglomerated.
(3) The fire extinguisher shall be subjected to a hydrostatic test, usually every 5 years. Chemical foam fire extinguishers are inspected once a year after being filled with fire extinguishing agent. The pressure test can only be used after passing the test, and the inspection date should be marked.
(4) Check whether the environment and location of the fire extinguisher meet the design requirements, and whether the protective measures for the fire extinguisher are normal.
